ABOUT US
International Well Integrity (IWI) is owned and managed by Simon Sparke, who has worked in the oil industry since 1978. With a global foundation in well operations covering a very wide range of working environments, he completely reviewed the well integrity process of a major independent oil company and subsequently developed and implemented a world class well integrity management system. This highly visual system integrated several strategic software packages and provided a wide range of stakeholders with daily and up to date information of well status. This process is fully described in SPE 142449-MS, ‘The Seven Pillars of Well Integrity Management: The Design and Implementation of a Well Integrity Management System’. This was published in 2011 and to date over 670 copies have been downloaded from One Petro making this one of the top paper downloads in the SPE.
This process is now employed by several companies worldwide, and is understood to be used by well examiners to provide a review process when assessing the integrity status of some operators.
Additionally, Simon is an approved global trainer for SPE on well integrity and is also a guest lecturer at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
Simon was a co-author on the first international well integrity standard – ISO/TS 16530-2, well integrity for the operational phase.

COVID-19
COVID-19 and associated flight restrictions and boarder closures, means that consultancy and training will be delivered remotely. We have had the pleasure of hosting virtual webinars to the Gas and Oil industry to ensure the importance of Well Integrity remains a key consideration by those designing, implementing and indeed maintaining oil rigs.
